3 Ways to Combat Cravings Whilst at Home

It's so easy for us to over-eat whilst we are at home in this situation Overindulging out of sheer boredom is going to be the one thing that really affects your body shape in this lockdown So how do we stop overindulging and ending up like a sofa sausage? It starts by looking at what triggers our cravings Chances are its boredom Which is therefore psychological We need to counteract boredom and make sure our minds are constantly occupied You know how it is...you're bored in front of the TV and nip into the kitchen to fill a bowl of pretzels (sour cream and chive for me) And you just sit there mindlessly chomping away not even looking where our hands are going

We need to find a way for ourselves to stay busy and active Physically and mentally So we don't have the urge to eat It might be going for a long walk... Reading something you're interested in and passionate about Hey why not start a side hustle? Exercising from home with home workouts (if you need help and have our expert guidance with this just drop me an email at info@studio121ltd.co.uk with the subject line 'home coaching' and I will send you some details) The main point here is to keep your body and mind BUSY The second way to help stop overindulging is to not restrict yourself in the first place This might sound counterproductive but hear me out One of the major pitfalls and reasons why people fail with diets these days is over restriction (going too far the other way) Not allowing yourself the flexibility to eat foods you enjoy What this does it give you cravings and the chances of binging are a lot higher So allow yourself the room and flexibility to have a cookie Have a slice of cake (not SLAB) Have a glass of wine (not 6...) This will stop those cravings This is more about control and management more than anything The final tip/point I want to make and help you with is to make sure to eat good whole meals throughout the day Meals that are high in protein Because what this does is fill you up so you don't feel hungry Try to aim for at least 20g of protein in each meal to fill you up It might be 1 chicken breast or 1 tin of tuna This will ensure you don't get the urge to snack and overeat on higher-calorie...sweet things Spread these out every 2-4 hours and you will notice a difference BONUS Use myfitnesspal Track your calories so you're in control Most of you lack control which is why you get out of shape Having a specific calorie target catered to you the individual means you can make room for treats That means you stay on track (pardon the pun) Questions you may have at this point probably are:

"How do I best eat whilst at home?" "How much protein do I need to eat per day?"

"What workouts are best for me to do from home?"

If you want these answering and take the next step
