Absolutely YES
We had a question this week about whether men and women should do the same exercises
Or rather, are there exercises that are only for women?
For us, exercises are not gender-specific.
All exercises can work well for everyone given there are no physical limitations e.g. injury
At the end of the day, exercise selection should depend on the client's goal always...
For example, more often, women want to focus more on their glutes, arms or core
So it would therefore be more appropriate to select exercises that target those areas
Men on the other hand might want to build a bigger chest and so maybe focus on chest exercises more
This doesn't mean women shouldn't do exercises like Bech Press, because they can be very beneficial for upper body strength and toning.
You will have noticed that with us exercises aren't limited to whether you're male or female
Exercise selection is specific to the client's goal which is why we get the results we do because we are client-focused.
For example, a client may want to gain muscle strength and would focus on more weight, for fewer reps compared to another client who just wants to tone up and focus on less weight, but more reps.
This is why it's so important for us to have a clear goal in mind or clear direction for training
So we know where we want to go and we can select the best road to go down.
This is what we do
